Summary

Job Title: Transport Administrator / Logistics Support
Location: Lichfield WS14
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (30-minute lunch break)
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Transport Administrator / Logistics Support to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a varied role that combines administrative support for the transport and logistics department with hands-on warehouse duties, including operating a forklift.

The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of transport operations and supporting general logistics functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with a blend of admin and warehouse experience looking for a long-term opportunity in a supportive and busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day transport operations, including scheduling and tracking deliveries.
• Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate dispatches.
• Complete all relevant transport documentation accurately (e.g. delivery notes, manifests).
• Maintain transport and warehouse records using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
• Operate a forklift as required to assist with loading/unloading goods and general warehouse duties.
• Assist in inventory management and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations.
• Provide general support to the logistics and warehouse team as needed.


Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a transport/logistics admin or coordination role.
• Valid forklift license (counterbalance or reach).
• Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
