Summary


Immunisation Programme Data Administrator Assistant (Brighton) - Full time (condensed to 9 working days out of 10 considered) temporary contract for 4 months, September to December 2025.

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Band 3 Immunisation Data Assistant to join the SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service.

To assist the Data and Admin Lead in maintaining service wide systems and providing information relating to Vaccination consent and uptake, sickness and absences and personnel data. This includes dealing with sensitive staff personal issues, both in person and on the telephone.

To assist in the induction and training of new members of staff.

The SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service vaccinates children aged 0-19 years in schools and clinics across East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.

This post will be based at Brighton General Hospital, but you may be required to travel to occasionallyprovide support in offices within the whole SCFT area.

The successful applicant will assist the Data Lead with the creation, development, maintenance, management and improvement of information process and service specific internal database systems e.g. E-Consent, where needed

Assist the Data Lead to create reports and newsletters to a high standard of content and presentation using multiple sources, including charts graphs and tables. These are to be designed to meet local monitoring requirements in line with NHS guidance. In addition referencing and/or indexing long moderately complex documents.

To provide flexible operational support to the team and cover for annual leave/sick leave.

To assist and pro-actively support the team in managing the complex workflow of administration processes.

To manage a comprehensive and up-to-date filing and retrieval system.

To deal appropriately with correspondence as requested or in the absence of the relevant Manager, deal appropriately with urgent correspondence.

Duties include filing, photocopying and minute-taking for the team. Vaccine, equipment and stationery stock monitoring. Handling complex reports and confidential correspondence. Working on a team drive and inputting/retrieving data from databases and hand-written forms.


You must be experienced in typing/word processing and be able to demonstrate high quality administrative skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.


You will need to have excellent written and verbal skills to deal with a wide range of people, patients/parents, clinical and non-clinical staff and other professionals. You will need to be able to work under pressure, be able to meet deadlines and be prepared to provide reception and administrative support at clinic venues.
