Summary
• Examine architectural drawings and specifications to determine tiling requirements and patterns
• Prepare and assess wall and floor surfaces, ensuring they are clean, level, and suitable for tile installation
• Calculate material requirements and plan tile layouts to maximize efficiency and aesthetic appeal
• Mix and apply appropriate adhesives, cement screeds, and grouts for different types of ceramic tiles
• Cut and position ceramic tiles with precision for walls, floors, and special features
• Install tiles according to specified patterns while maintaining straight lines and proper spacing
• Use spirit levels, tile spacers, and measuring tools to ensure perfect alignment
• Apply and finish grout between tiles, ensuring even and clean application
• Perform finishing work including cleaning, polishing, and sealing tiles as required
• Create and finish edges, corners, and joints professionally
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Ceramic Tiler
• Thorough knowledge of ceramic tile installation techniques
• Expertise in using tile cutting tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of different adhesives and grouts
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurement
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Basic mathematical skills for calculating materials and measurements
• Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
