Join our snack-loving team! We're looking for a Hygiene Team Member to join our team at KP Snacks. Fancy being part of a group where your ideas matter and your growth is celebrated? Keep reading – this might just be your next adventure!

This is a hands-on role that supports the wider team by ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld in all areas of the facility.

Your responsibilities will include cleaning corridors, stairwells, locker rooms, offices, meeting rooms, kitchen and canteen spaces, and toilet facilities. You'll also be responsible for replenishing essential supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, as well as managing stock levels of cleaning materials. External areas and walkways also form part of the cleaning route.

This role is vital to the day-to-day running of the site and supports both health & safety and colleague wellbeing. If you take pride in your work, enjoy working independently, and have great attention to detail, we’d love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

Operate floor scrubbers to ensure corridors, factory floor, and other site facilities are kept clean
Clean toilet facilities and replenish stock as required
Maintain handwashing stations, including cleaning and replenishing paper towels and soap
Clean stairwells and walkways throughout the site
Manage stock control and replenishment of cleaning materials
Empty bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately
Clean meeting rooms and office facilities
Carry out cleaning of walls, vents, floors, and lockers within the locker rooms
Maintain cleanliness in canteen and kitchen areas
Uphold high standards of factory hygiene at all times
Identify and support opportunities to improve cleaning processes with the wider team
Collaborate with the production team to ensure a united, site-wide approach
Development and Support:
Opportunity to learn new cleaning techniques, including chemical use and basic tool training
Training available on recycle balers and waste compactors to support the team during holidays or sickness

We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Food Safety Level 2
Health & Safety Level 2
COSHH Level 2
Manual Handling Level 2
Knowledge of safe chemical handling (e.g. COSHH regulations)
Understanding and use of correct manual handling techniques
Fork Truck Counterbalance licence

Experience:

Previous experience working in the food industry
Experience in a similar cleaning role within a manufacturing environment
Understanding of food hygiene standards

Personal Qualities:

A strong team player who is hardworking and self-motivated
Willing to contribute positively to a small, close-knit team
Able to work independently, using their own initiative
