Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to assist with the executive Head Chef leading our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and hospitality, with a flair for creativity and innovation in the kitchen. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation while managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maintain profitability.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times.
Assist in the preparation of meals during peak service periods as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary methods, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to help develop new dishes that delight guests.
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
