Summary
This service is a medium to low support project where residents are provided support and intervention to improve tenancy sustainment skills. Through a trauma informed and strength-based approach you will move residents toward permanent accommodation ensuring any ‘wrap around’ support necessary has been put in place. This may include working with mental health, substance misuse, debt service to name a few.
You will work with residents on a 1:1 basis and facilitate group work. You will be supporting residents with benefits awards and other mental health or physical support needs with partner agencies and GPs. Working with them to gain and sustain a tenancy within their locality.
Additionally, you will support the Move on Housing Manager with the housing management aspects of the project including health and safety requirements of the building, collection of income through housing benefit and the project service charge. As part of this role, you will cover other areas such as cover for staff leave and sickness across the Move on Housing District, attending meetings with internal and external partners. Some flexibility to work outside of standard office hours may be required on occasion. Working across Move on Housing North projects is essential.
This role could suit an applicant with transferrable skills not necessarily from within the homelessness sector.
