Summary

Seeking an Early Years Funding Manager to oversee the statutory duties and functions related to early years funding for Kingston and Richmond Councils. Responsibilities include managing a multi-million pound budget, implementing government funding policies, developing claims and payment systems and providing information and training to stakeholders. The role requires strong financial expertise, data analysis skills, and the ability to manage a small team. Ensuring compliance with regulations and effective utilisation of public funds are key aspects of this position.

As Achieving for Children's Early Years Funding Manager, you will oversee the statutory duties and functions related to early years entitlement and the administration of childcare related grants and payments on behalf of Kingston and Richmond Councils. Responsibilities include managing a multi-million pound budget, implementing government early funding policies, developing robust claims and payment systems, overseeing audit contract management processes and providing information & training to stakeholders.

You will be passionate about supporting children and young people, demonstrating strong analytical and numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to foster productive partnerships with various stakeholders. You will be determined and ambitious, capable of achieving challenging objectives and delivering excellent outcomes. Strong organisational and creative-thinking skills are necessary, alongside a commitment to resource optimisation and cross-team collaboration.
