The London Borough of Sutton is looking for an experienced Strategic Finance Business Partner to provide financial leadership within the Resources Directorate. As a senior finance professional, you will play a key role in ensuring budget viability, financial integrity, and strategic decision-making within the council.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct financial guidance to directors across the Resources Directorate.
Challenge and validate service budget proposals for realism and commercial viability.
Act as the gateway to the Shared Finance Service, ensuring stakeholders receive expert financial advice.
Manage key financial risks and major budget pressures.
Deliver high-quality financial advice on service proposals and committee reports.
Promote a culture of financial empowerment, enabling staff to maximize resources effectively.
Requirements:
Professional Qualifications: CIPFA, CIMA, MBA (or equivalent).
Experience: Strategic finance advisory experience within a large and complex organisation.
Skills: Strong financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and risk management capabilities.
