End Date: 31st January 2026 Rate: PAYE £50.00 per hour / Umbrella Ltd £65.70 per hour
Reigate and Banstead Borough Council is seeking a Tree Officer to support the Planning Department in assessing tree works applications and evaluating the impact of development proposals on trees. This role will require frequent site visits, with office presence needed at least half of the working time. You will work alongside an experienced part-time Senior Tree Officer to help maintain and protect the borough’s natural landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess tree works applications for compliance with planning and environmental guidelines.
Evaluate the impact of planning applications and development proposals on trees.
Conduct frequent site visits to gather evidence and ensure adherence to regulations.
Collaborate with the Senior Tree Officer and Planning Department to support tree conservation efforts.
