Summary
You will have the opportunity to join a well- established Geriatrics Department offering a wide range of specialist frailty services. Some of these include a dedicated Acute Frailty Pathway, Rapid Access Clinic for Elderly and a newly established Community Frailty Unit. All the CTF candidates benefit from postings in various specialist subunits within the department and are supervised by a Registrar and Consultant at all times. Your career progression will be our responsibility and you will benefit from plugging into a well- established culture of training and education within the department. There will be opportunity to take part in Leadership development (e.g. MediLead and there will also be opportunity to experience innovative ways of care delivery e.g. Ambulatory care, Acute Frailty stream). The trust will provide dedicated time for Quality Improvement Projects and Audits in the rota. The post holder must promote safe and effective handover of patient care in line with Trust Governance. The post holder will be required to actively participate in clinical audit and implement its results and relate these to the Trust and Directorate policies on Clinical Governance. The post-holder will work toward achieving their requirements and competencies for entry into Core / Specialist / GP training.
