Summary

1. Carry out, under supervision, the following aspects, in order to meet training requirements for framework: o Diagnose, fault find, and repair faults on range of plant, equipment and services o Manufacture, assemble, erect, install and test new work including minor improvements ensuring compliance with Trust and Apprentice safety standards and procedures o Carry out planned preventative maintenance to statutory requirements o Carry out statutory inspections and testing of plant, equipment and services to ensure their safe operation and meet current standards o Use all relevant tools and equipment as necessary o Plan and evaluate and order materials for the necessary job requisitions o Communicate with others on aspects of their work, including any problems encountered o Make arrangements to attend wards / departments for access or availability of room / area / equipment to carry out work as requested o Participate in systems of work and complete all necessary paperwork to Statutory and Trust requirements o Follow drawings, specifications under the necessary guidance of others o Follow Trust and statutory requirements regarding health and safety at work 2. Attend college, training centres and other training organisations as necessary to meet requirements of the Apprenticeship Standard and NHS Employer 3. Complete training log books and matrix following the completion of work carried out in the employers locations (s) 4. Submit all necessary paperwork to the Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre in accordance with the apprenticeship and Standard requirements 5. Submit all necessary paperwork to the Employer in accordance with the employer requirements 6. Ensure all parties involved with training are kept up to date with progress and all actions and targets are achieved within timescale 7. The precise details of any of the apprenticeship are dependent on a number of factors that may be subject to change at various stages of the training 8. Demonstrate commitment to IWL principles and flexible working patterns, to meet the needs of the service and staff 9. Tackle discrimination and harassment, and promote equality and diversity in the workplace 10. Reduce sickness absence; work place accidents; and promote zero tolerance on violence against staff 11. Take responsibility for personal development and education and the development of a Personal Development Plan.
