Summary
To develop: professional knowledge and skills within a competency based framework as a cancer clinical nurse specialist the skills to manage a caseload of cancer patients in the Surgical/Oncology unit To provide: nursing contribution in co-ordinating the care of patients diagnosed with breast cancer. specialist nursing contribution to the decision making process within multi-professional teams, offering support and education to patients, carers and families. support for Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist in nurse led Breast Care Unit clinics and provide support during Annual leave and study leave To act: as an educator to other health care professionals with regard to the psychosocial support of cancer patients.
