Crynodeb
To be responsible for coordinating and developing the rehabilitation OT service under the supervision of the OT Clinical Lead To autonomously manage and deliver an effective, evidence based occupational therapy (OT) service to people diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness/ mental health problem who are resident within the locality and in receipt of rehabilitation services. To be responsible for specialist OT assessment, developing, implementing and evaluating therapy plans using a person-centred approach and incorporating the Recovery Star. To provide supervision for junior OT staff within the rehabilitation service. To educate, advise and recommend appropriate person-centred activity programmes which will enhance service users quality of life and participation in meaningful activities. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, be involved in liaising and effectively communicating with all relevant parties. To promote innovative and creative ways of working with service users/carers with complex needs. Effectively manage the resources available to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for service users Create a stimulating and productive working and learning environment for themselves, colleagues and students
