Summary
We are looking for Support Workers to care for individuals in your local area. You will need to have at least 6 months experience working in a professional support environment, with clients that have complex care and neurological conditions. Your role will include daily activities, cleaning and personal care, leisure and shopping trips and promoting personal independence.
Support Worker: The Role
• Assisting service users with their day to day lives.
• Assisting service users on activities and outings.
• Encouraging service users to remain independent and respecting their dignity always.
• Providing person centred care.
• Domestic duties.
• Following care plans.
Support Worker: The Job Requirements
· At least 6 months experience working in a supported living environment.
· Experience giving personal care to both female and male service users.
· Experience with people with Challenging Behaviour and have CPI training
· Knowledge and experience of moving & handling.
· Knowledge and experience giving medication.
· Preferably drivers
· Valid training certificates.
· Enhanced DBS (preferably registered online).
