With decades of experience in the construction and property sectors, we’re working in partnership with a well-established, forward-thinking multi-disciplinary contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Cambridge.

The Company:

Our client delivers a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, ranging from bespoke private builds and housing developments to office refurbishments and light industrial units. Their success is built on strong client relationships, collaborative design, and a practical approach to construction challenges.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in managing the cost and commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion. You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on budget, on time, and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation


  • Managing project finances and progress reports


  • Performing risk and value management


  • Procuring subcontractors and negotiating terms


  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and industry standards


  • Supporting the project team with commercial input and cost control


    About You:

    We’re looking for someone with:

    • 3+ years of Quantity Surveying experience


    • A background in residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction


    • Knowledge of JCT contracts and cost control principles


    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills


    • A proactive, problem-solving mindset


    • Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field
