The Role
Are you enthusiastic and an experience alcohol recovery worker, who is dedicated to performing an outreach role across the county? This exciting new role will offer you the chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of people who use our service.
If you're working with us, here are some things you do in a typical week:
• Work closely with partners from adult social services, alcohol liaison teams, probation, housing, community safety teams, and a range of other health and social care agencies to engage and re-engage people into treatment.
• Provide assertive outreach with a focus on safeguarding, engagement, and harm reduction across Surrey, working with the wider i-access team to ensure seamless access to treatment interventions.
• Assist people in accessing treatment services and making sustained changes to improve their lives.
The Service
Via is commissioned to provide Assertive Outreach to some of the most vulnerable and complex alcohol drinkers in Surrey, working alongside multi-disciplinary teams to minimise risk and impact on the community and emergency services.
This service is an established community Integrated service that is well performing and highly functioning.
Location
You will work peripatetically across Surrey, with an administrative base in Woking, and will need access to a car for travel.
For an informal chat about the role, contact Michael Shaw, Service Manager Michael.Shaw@viaorg.uk 07759 131832 or Zoe Waite – Senior Practitioner Zoe.Waite@viaorg.uk 07840 853518.
