Summary

A Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter is responsible for the installation, renovation, and maintenance of kitchen and bathroom units in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a combination of carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and electrical skills to ensure high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install kitchen and bathroom units, including cabinets, worktops, sinks, appliances, and fixtures.
• Carry out plumbing tasks such as fitting taps, sinks, showers, and toilets.
• Perform electrical work, including installing lighting, sockets, and appliances in compliance with safety regulations.
• Tile walls and floors, ensuring a neat and professional finish.
• Measure and cut materials to fit designated spaces accurately.
• Remove old units and prepare areas for new installations.
• Repair and maintain existing kitchen and bathroom fittings as required.
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on design and materials.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a kitchen and/or bathroom fitter or similar role.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and basic electrical work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
• Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Carpentry, Plumbing, or Multi-trade Construction) are desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence may be required for site visits.

Working Conditions:
• Work is typically carried out on-site in homes or commercial properties.
• May involve travel between different job locations.
• Standard working hours, with occasional overtime or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
