P4 Recruitment is proud to represent a national care organisation in the search for a Team Leader at a specialist 4-bedroom children’s residential home in Salford. This home supports young people with complex mental health needs, providing a safe, therapeutic environment where they can develop emotional resilience and life skills.
About the Role
You’ll lead shifts, support the Registered Manager, and act as a role model to your team — ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care is delivered at all times. You’ll work closely with a Clinical Psychologist to embed a therapeutic approach and help young people build the tools they need for long-term wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support the care team to ensure consistency and compassion in care delivery
Ensure care plans are followed and regularly reviewed in line with young people’s needs
Maintain safe and nurturing routines that promote emotional regulation and personal growth
Collaborate with clinical professionals and external agencies to support holistic care
Carry out staff supervisions, shift planning, and incident debriefs as required
Ensure safeguarding standards are upheld at all times
Essential Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience working in a residential setting with young people with complex needs
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care practices
Ability to lead by example and support staff development
Confident, empathetic communicator with strong safeguarding awareness
