Summary
The Radiographer will be expected to work as a core member of the Interventional Radiology team at the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) site. The radiographer will need to be able to undertake a wide range of clinical duties to provide a high quality imaging service and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, encouraging and supporting colleagues to do so also. To ensure the department delivers an exemplary service and experience to patients and members of the public. To ensure departmental adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, and the Trusts policies, protocols and guidelines. Actively participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, both within Imaging and outside of the department. Support the Superintendent Radiographers to ensure the day to day running of the Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology Departments are smoothly co-ordinated. The post-holder will be expected to participate in the 7-day extended day and out-of-hours (OOH) rotas, providing a high standard of emergency service for the Royal Sussex County Hospital. This post also has a commitment to some weekend shifts as part of core working hours.
