The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Workpack Engineer to support the successful delivery of large-scale projects. This role involves developing EC&I Installation Work Packs (IWPs) from Construction Work Packs (CWPs), ensuring work site activities run smoothly, and contributing to project efficiency and safety.

The role
requires training to use a specialised system that houses all the necessary documents for creating IWPs.

Location: Saltend, Hull
Full-time, On-Site
Salary: Up to £80,000 per year
Living Away Allowance (for travellers): £346.44 per week
Weekly Hours: 38 hours (with potential for up to 45 hours)

Your duties and responsibilities will be

- Develop EC&I Work Packs for projects, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure work packs include all necessary drawings, specifications, procedures, and materials.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule activities.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and resources for IWP execution.
- Identify and address potential risks, proactively mitigating delays or safety concerns.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
- Keep the Work Pack Manager informed on progress and emerging issues.
- Attend meetings with clients and representatives as required.

You will have the following qualifications and experience

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical engineering, construction, or maintenance, with at least 2 years in a work pack creation role.
- HND/C in Electrical/Instrumentation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in MS Office and Navisworks 2024.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within a large project team.
- Self-motivated and deadline-driven, with a focus on achieving client objectives.
