Are you an experienced Estimator looking to take the lead in a brand-new division?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing and forward-thinking contractor who is establishing a new estimating function—and you’ll be at the forefront of building it. This is a unique opportunity to shape a team, influence processes, and step into a leadership role.

The Role

As the division’s first Estimator, you’ll:

  • Price commercial projects valued at £1 million+


  • Work from technical drawings (design skills a bonus)


  • Bring either a mechanical or electrical bias—or ideally both


  • Help shape estimating processes and best practices


  • Oversee a growing team, with plans to bring in a second Estimator reporting to you


    Location & Flexibility

    • Based in Chelmsford


    • Flexible/hybrid working after onboarding (first 1–2 months more office-based for training and integration)

      • Salary of Circa £80,000 DOE

        • Strong understanding of drawings and technical documentation


        • A mechanical and/or electrical background in building services or similar
