Social Worker in Children Services
Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker in Children Services to become an integral part of our team. This role focuses on enhancing the well-being of children and families in our community by providing vital support and intervention services. As a Social Worker, you will collaborate closely with children, parents, and guardians, assessing needs and implementing appropriate strategies to promote healthy family dynamics. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and facilitating access to necessary resources. Your work will also involve engaging with schools, healthcare providers, and other community organizations to create a network of support for at-risk children. Through advocacy, counseling, and the provision of social services, you will play an essential role in fostering positive outcomes for children in need. In addition to direct services, you will be involved in community outreach programs aimed at raising awareness about child welfare issues. Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of children and families to determine needs and appropriate interventions
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders
Provide counseling and support to children and families facing various challenges
Facilitate access to community resources and services for at-risk children
Document and maintain accurate records of casework activity and progress
Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to create a comprehensive support network
Advocate for children's rights and policies that promote their welfare and safety
Requirements
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
Valid state licensure or certification as a Social Worker
Experience working with children and families in a social work or related field
Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
Hours Per Week: 30.00
Start Time: 08:30
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £28.14
