Senior Transport Planner

Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our dynamic team, where you will play a key role in shaping transportation solutions that enhance mobility and sustainability across the region. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will leverage your extensive knowledge and innovative thinking to develop, implement, and manage transport plans that respond to the diverse needs of our community and stakeholders. You will engage in detailed transport modeling and analysis, ensuring that all proposed solutions align with local policy objectives and overarching environmental goals. Responsibilities
Develop and manage comprehensive transport plans and strategies that meet regulatory requirements and community needs.
Conduct transport modeling and analysis to evaluate project impacts on traffic patterns and environmental sustainability.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate transport planning with land use and environmental considerations.
Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups, to gather input and build consensus on transport initiatives.
Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and government officials.
Monitor and review the performance of transport systems and suggest improvements as necessary.
Lead and mentor junior planners, providing guidance and support in project development and analysis.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in transport planning or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project management.
Strong knowledge of transport modeling software and tools, such as SYNCHRO, VISSIM, or similar.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop meaningful insights.
Proficient in preparing technical reports, presentations, and proposals for various audiences.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and consensus-building within the community or government settings.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
