Child – A bright and engaging 17-year-old with a neurological condition and associated health complexities.Personality – Curious and lively, with a love for getting out and about, enjoying age-appropriate leisure activities like arts and crafts, visits to the cinema, and trips to the library. Needs calm, consistent supervision and thrives in the company of warm and capable adults.Needs – Due to the nature of her condition, this young person requires close 1:1 supervision both at home and out in the community. Support is needed with personal care (dressing, bathing), medication (including emergency medication – full training provided), and engaging safely in activities. A key part of the role is the ability to recognise any physical or medical changes quickly and act appropriately.Ideal Candidate – A punctual, reliable, and proactive female support worker with a caring, upbeat nature and the ability to think on their feet. Experience with epilepsy is an advantage, but full training will be provided. You should be flexible, positive, and confident in providing care independently. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use are essential.Role – This is a 6-hour-per-week post, with flexibility on days. You will be supporting the child both in the home and in the community, ensuring her safety and wellbeing at all times. You’ll play a vital role in helping her explore, socialise, and enjoy a fuller life while offering attentive care when needed.Goal – To support a young person to live life more fully, with safety, joy, and confidence in her surroundings, while giving the family valuable reassurance and respite.Pay – £13.74 per hour, with 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata).
