About the Role

This post plays an essential role in ensuring the efficiency of local arrangements to keep children and adults at risk safe. The key focus of the role is ensuring the development, delivery, and evaluation of multi-agency safeguarding training for Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership (NCSCP) and Nottingham City Safeguarding Adults Board (NCSAB).

The post holder will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality assurance strategy for safeguarding training across local agencies and supporting multi-agency partnerships within the Adults Safeguarding Board and Children’s Safeguarding Partnership in the development and delivery of their Annual Work Plans.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of relevant Nottingham City Council and relevant safeguarding policies and procedures and the commitment and ability to implement them
  • Clear understanding of the Council’s Organisational Values and their implications for service delivery
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences including frontline staff
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, ensuring that deadlines and statutory timescales are adhered to
  • An understanding of the City Council’s Equality Scheme, a commitment to its implementation and application in employment and service delivery

- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
