We are looking for a highly self-motivated and enthusiastic Senior Pharmacist to join our team at Watford General Hospital.
The successful candidate will have experience in clinical haemato-oncology as well as technical services.
They will be able to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and be eager to become a key member of the team—bringing fresh ideas and contributing to service improvement.
The post holder will possess leadership skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, and a proactive approach to supporting service development.

The post holder will support the Pharmacy Technical/Cancer Services Manager in leading and developing high-quality Pharmacy Technical and Cancer Services across the Trust.
They will provide pharmaceutical advice, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards (including GCP, GMP, and NHSQA), and contribute to the efficient, safe, and cost-effective use of medicines.
Responsibilities include supporting daily manufacturing operations, maintaining the Pharmaceutical Quality System, providing clinical advice to cancer patients and healthcare staff, and contributing to audits and research.
The role also involves professional and legal supervision within the Pharmacy Technical / Cancer Services Department, ensuring the health and safety of both staff and patients.
The post holder must be a registered pharmacist and either hold or be working towards a Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
