Summary

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist demolition contractor working on a large scale project in Port Talbot.

Duration is expected to be circa 5-6 months, but may go longer.

About the Role:

Schedule: Day shift, typically 7:00am - 17:00pm. Hours can vary depending on the project. Weekend work and night shifts are occasionally offered, if the project requires.

Role Requirements:

  • Organise, supervise, and work alongside demolition operatives to deliver high-quality work.
  • Monitor site progress to meet programme targets, standards, and client expectations, reporting any issues to the contracts manager.
  • Coordinate with client to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any on-site challenges.
  • Carry out and log inspections of plant, equipment, and facilities, ensuring pre-use checks, servicing, and safety records are up to date.
  • Maintain accurate site records and ensure equipment is properly decontaminated and transported according to procedures.

What you need:

  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
  • CSCS or CCDO qualification
  • Asbestos Awareness certification (UKATA or equivalent)
  • Ideally experienced of working on demolition sites
  • Ability to direct a team to deliver the business's primary objectives with the ability to mentor and motivate staff where necessary
  • Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a methodical and calm manner
  • Full UK driving licence
