Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance

Hays Education are working in partnership with a well-established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Tameside to recruit a passionate and resilient Science Teacher. This specialist provision supports secondary-aged pupils who are unable to access mainstream education due to social, emotional, or mental health needs. Your New Job

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on building confidence, curiosity, and core scientific understanding. You will work closely with a dedicated team of staff and support professionals to create a positive learning experience tailored to individual needs. What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
  • A strong understanding of SEMH and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
