Summary
Driver - 2 Person Crew– Redruth
*** We pay for the VAN, FUEL, INSURANCE and UNIFORM ***
Full time 40+ hours Monday – Friday – 10am start
Pay Rate: Starting rate £12.25 per hour
Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year including Bank Holidays. Holiday benefit – For every continuous year you’re with us, you’ll receive an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of five.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Loading and offloading of vehicles and general sortation of consignments
• Accurate checking of items out for delivery on the HHT and reporting of any discrepancies to your line Manager
• Complete vehicle checks and report any problems
• Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards and health & safety procedure
• As part of a 2-person crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is made with the highest level of customer service.
• Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day
• End of day – return to depot, unload and labelling of non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT
• Driver debrief with Manager on duty
• Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day
Personal Specification
• Previous experience of multi drop deliveries
• Excellent geographical knowledge of the area
• Good time keeping
• Excellent customer service skills
• Confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Valid DBS check must be provided
• Experience with HHTs
