We are looking for a talented Nursery Cook who is passionate and dedicated to providing fresh, high-quality meals for young children up to 5 years at our Headingley Nursery. You will be running the bright nursery kitchen and while we have a menu to follow, you can make the role your own. Bring your ideas to the table!
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook nutritious meals for children, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Plan and organise menus that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and storage areas.
Collaborate with staff to ensure timely meal service and address any dietary concerns.
Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Provide a safe and welcoming environment for children during meal times.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a nursery or similar environment
Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and food safety
Previous kitchen experience, preferably in catering or restaurant settings
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented kitchen environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in meal planning and serving
