Summary

Planning Solicitor
Grade 8, £41,511 up to £45,718 per annum pro rata (Pay award pending)
37 hours per week, permanent contract

The council is seeking to recruit a planning solicitor managing a varied caseload of complex planning matters including but not limited to:


General planning advice
Planning enforcement
Complex section 106 agreements
Judicial review
Right of way agreements


This role requires the expertise of a seasoned planning lawyer who ideally has previous experience of dealing with public sector work.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a deep understanding of planning law and have excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

We operate a ‘hybrid working’ model with a mix of office based, home and remote working available when suitable. The role can be conducted largely remotely however you will be required to attend planning committee (held in the evening) one day per month.
