The Clothing Stores Supervisor will oversee a team of 3 MOD civil Servants and 1 x RN Junior rating supporting day to day output of the HMS Heron Clothing Stores, reporting to the MSG Manager via CPOSC MSG. Clothing stores provides military Uniform, (Primarily Royal Navy with a limited number of Army and Royal Air Force ranges), Flying Clothing, Personal Protective Equipment, and Clothing accessories. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day issues and exchanges of Clothing items to entitled personnel, process individual dekitting as required and equipment disposals in accordance with regulatory requirements, regularly liaise with the designated Tailoring services providers and maintain an online appointments system. They shall provide daily oversight over the operation of the online Click and Collect service provided by the My Navy app and ensure effective communication is sustained with online customers. The Clothing Stores Supervisor will be the nominated Representative using the E-Catalogue for demanding stores Clothing related stores, and shall communicate with Team Leidos using the Komodo system. They shall ensure Storeroom housekeeping procedures are maintained to the highest order, they shall carry out routine stocktaking promptly and in accordance with the scheduled quadrennial Stocktaking programme liaising with CPOSC MSG regarding any identified discrepancies.
In addition to their day to day duties the Clothing Stores Supervisor shall also assume the responsibility of deputy building manager, ensuring high standards are maintained, H&S requirements are fully met, and infrastructure faults are reported promptly to the MOD contracted maintenance organisation VIVO.
