Summary
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity and performance.
2. To lead the development and delivery of a multichannel sales and marketing plan for The Inverness Castle Experience - to promote the attraction, events, commercial opportunities and product range, with a particular focus on maximising potential revenue.
3. Ensure full compliance and consistency in branding.
4. Plan and monitor marketing spend within The Inverness Castle Experience budget and regularly report to management on this area.
5. To establish and maintain positive working relationships with the travel trade to promote visits, generate income, manage group visits and support the objective of increasing the number and duration of visits to The Inverness Castle Experience and the wider Highland region.
6. To engage with a range of stakeholders and agencies in support of the promotion of The Inverness Castle Experience and HLH visitor attractions to local, national and international markets.
7. Maintain relationships with HLH’s external design and website agencies to develop and produce an innovative and high-quality portfolio of promotional material, on time and within budget.
8. To work closely with tourism agencies, including VisitScotland, to promote The Inverness Castle Experience and other HLH visitor attractions to local, national and international markets.
9. To identify opportunities, coordinate attendance and represent The Inverness Castle Experience and/or HLH visitor attractions at trade shows, events, festivals and other appropriate events on a local, national and international level.
10. To provide effective management and responses to all media, filming and photography requests in relation to The Inverness Castle Experience and the Castlehill area.
11. Manage the creation and implementation of content across social media channels.
12. Regular attendance, participation and marketing performance reporting at management meetings.
13. Review and evaluation of all marketing activity within the remit of this role in terms of quality and return on investment, making strategic recommendations for future activity.
14. Pursue continuous professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of Inverness Castle Experience and High Life Highland as a whole.
15. Attend and undertake any training online or in person.
16. Aim to reduce wastage and uphold our environmental values of being as sustainable as possible in all tasks.
17. Assist and support other areas of High Life Highland with particular projects, training or in the event of holidays or sickness.
18. Work will include some occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays for specific meetings and events.
19. Undertake all tasks in accordance with High Life Highland policies and procedures, including General Data Protection Regulations, health and safety procedures, relevant checks, reporting any concerns to management to ensure corrective action is taken.
