Summary
The Early Engagement Worker will focus on the prevention of homelessness, including tenancy sustainment and seeking housing options, including leading on seeking and developing relationships with Landlords in the privately rented sector.
To enable this the Early Engagement Worker will focus on delivery of interventions within the local community, building relationships with statutory and voluntary professionals, to implement a person-centred collaborative network of support tailored to individual needs.
The Early Engagement Worker will receive referrals through the Worthing and Littlehampton Community hubs for clients who are at risk of losing their homes, as well as move-on housing for clients moving into more independent accommodation and needing assistance with setting up utility bills and rent payments. An element of this role will focus on providing support to those who are vulnerably housed and have complex needs such as substance misuse or mental health issues.
