Summary
As this is a new post, it is an excellent opportunity to support the physiotherapy teams with a varying and complex clinical caseload as part of the Regional Neuroscience Centre. There are existing peer support networks within the wider neurosciences team and the post-holder will be fully supported to integrate into these established physiotherapy teams and roles. Neuro-outpatients and spinal inpatients are both evolving services and the post-holder will be expected to lead in service improvement; it is therefore expected that the post-holder will have real-life experience of service improvement and leadership in action. Job purpose To provide a high standard of physiotherapy care to a highly complex patient group. The role will include working across inpatient wards, there may also be a requirement to work within an outpatient setting. Participate in the physiotherapy department's respiratory on call rota following completion of an appropriate induction programme. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
