Summary

NEMS has an exciting and ambitious programme of further improving quality which puts service users and carers right at the centre and staff in the driving seat of change. It is based on the principle that staff will develop their own effective solutions to improving the processes of delivering high quality services and care. Improving quality is about making healthcare safe, effective, patient-centred, timely, efficient and equitable. In the history of the NHS, there has never been such a focus on improving the quality of health services. The CQC Lead will be key to the delivery of NEMS vision. The post holder will be reporting to the Head of Quality Governance & IG and will be required to provide project and programme support other programmes and projects relating to CQC. The postholder will be required to provide support in terms of meeting management, managing risk logs, management and the monitoring of action plans and to develop a Quality Improvement Report. The postholder will work alongside comms and other teams as part of NEMS CQC always ready work and other projects. This role is about improving quality for our patients, their carers and our workforce. The postholder will be responsible for the following areas: Monitoring overseeing the delivery of actions from CQC inspections Understand historical CQC reports and other external audits to understand the impact for NEMS, which will require frequent concentration to analyse and assess reports as well as determining impact and actions for NEMS. Provide clear action plans and reports on progress to NEMS Executive team and Board Management of any concerns and communication across NEMS services Prepare response to the CQC in relation to enquiries and concerns raised. Managing and updating information to manage risk reporting Responsible for keeping our CQC registration and location information up to date on our Statement of Purpose and working with our internal teams to support information sharing. Managing the flow of data and information to the CQC. Supporting meetings with the CQC. Supporting focus groups for CQC assessment and monitoring. Deliver bespoke training sessions for those involved within the CQC process, to ensure colleagues have the relevant understanding of the CQC and NEMS requirements. Responsible or NEMS Quality Improvement plan including keeping the QI project log up to date. Ensure all CQC evidence statements are developed and regularly updated to capture improvements/developments Undertaking mock inspections at all sites and creating site action plans to implement and embed necessary changes To work with NEMS clinical teams, operational teams, estates and corporate services to identify areas of required improvement and delivery required changes in a timely manner. To work with NEMS Comms Lead to ensure our workforce understand the regulatory requirements of the CQC and the process of an inspection 1. Self-Development & Mandatory Training Ensure all mandatory training as required within your role is kept up to date. Maintain a personal development plan.
