Lead Nurse Job Description Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Lead Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing patient care and leading a team of nurses to deliver high-quality medical services. Duties: - Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery - Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and wound management - Monitor patients' vital signs and medical conditions - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans - Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records - Assist in training and mentoring junior nursing staff Skills: The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: - Proficient in patient care practices and procedures - Competent in medication administration and dosage calculations - Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology -Be qualified in at least two LTC's, in particular diabetes, or be prepared to work towards a diabetes qualification (fully funded with paid study leave) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Leadership qualities to guide and motivate nursing staff If you are looking for a large, well-managed, friendly practice who believes in work life balance; then this could be the job for you.
