Summary

a) To be responsible, clinical supervise and support clinicians working within the service with mostly complex gastroenterology case management; however occasionally support with home enteral feeding caseload will be required. b) To work alongside other leads to manage and supervise the support staff workloads, integrating skill sharing initiatives. c) To be responsible for organising the undergraduate dietetic student placement (A) within the relevant areas of work and support the band 6 staff supervising the students. d) To provide performance information to operational managers to support the delivery of KPIs, management of demand and capacity and to inform future workforce, skill mix requirements and service development in the gastroenterology aspect of the service. e) To report incidents, and manage incidents and complaints to reduce risk. To share learning from incidents and risk with the team and wider organisation as appropriate. f) To ensure direct line reports attend statutory and mandatory training. g) To organise and deliver in service training to clinical staff and to the wider MDT as appropriate. h) To be responsible for ensuring effective induction for all staff within the area of responsibility and relevant students. i) To contribute to the recruitment of clinical staff. j) To provide all aspects of management for direct reports; including carrying out their appraisal, manage sickness absence and allocate work. k) To raise any significant budgetary issues with the budget holder (e.g. requirement to use agency staff), and to contribute to the annual business planning process. **"Please note: This role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
