At MGF, we manufacture our equipment, operate our own transport fleet and have an in-house engineering team who produce design solutions to meet customers’ requirements.With 14 depots nationwide and 400 passionate members of our team, we're expanding. Each team member plays a crucial role in this success, and we need your help as a Welder to continue delivering exceptional results.Main responsibilities include:Welding and manufacturing of all types of MGF Shoring Equipment from instructions and the reading of engineering drawingsPerforming high quality repairs on heavy duty steel equipmentDemonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processesObserve or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standardsVisually inspect welding work to determine compliance with standards and current legislationResponsible for cleanliness and housekeeping within your areaTo become a Welder at MGF, the core requirements are:Two years welding experience, welding heavy steel including UC, RHS, CHSAbility to read technical drawingsExperience with flame cutting and grindingUse of overhead crane, machines, drillsBe flexible and willing to work on a variety of assignmentsIn addition to a competitive wage, you will receive:Guaranteed hours every weekUsual working days Monday - Friday, with opportunities for overtime and minimal non-sociable hoursAdditional annual leave awarded to recognise long-serviceA company Christmas shutdown and the option to purchase additional days of annual leaveOpportunities for training, development, and career progressionPension Scheme and Life AssuranceAward and recognition initiativesThe security of working for a national organisation with core family values at our heartRefer a friend schemeAnd so much more…This is a chance to join a growing company that values every team member.
