We areseeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated individual who willsupport the IPT-A Programme Lead on the CYP Psychological Trainings IPT-A PG Cert.
Based at theGMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre (PTTC) which is renowned for providing high quality training to students in evidence-based psychological therapies. Thiscourse will provide training in knowledge and key skills required to become an IPT-A Accredited Therapist. Trainees will learn how to deliver the IPT-A evidence-based model, engage with ongoing teaching and tutorials throughout the course, as well as covering broader and cross pathway teachings.This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and to work collaboratively within our established psychological therapies training programmes.
Candidates will have substantial experience of delivering IPT-A. We are looking to recruit a tutor with knowledge and experience of teaching/training with some supervision experience. Applicants will need an interest in IPT-A research and knowledge and understanding of the training in IPT-A practice.They will also have excellent communication and organisational skills being able to participate within all aspects of training.
The successful candidate must be registered with the IPT UK as an IPT Therapist, hold a relevant undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and have experience in delivering this therapy with Adolescents.
Secondment can be offered with the agreement of an applicant's existing employer.
To support the IPT-A Programme Lead with thedelivery, development and evaluation of the Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A) pathway of a high quality Postgraduate Certificate programme in Evidence Based Practice for Children & Young People (CYP) for mental health, health and social care professionals working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) or equivalent, as part of the Children and Young People’s Psychological Therapies.
