Summary

Location: St Leonards‑on‑Sea, East Sussex

Salary: Competitive trainee salary based on experience, plus paid overtime and standby allowance with clear progression opportunities

Hours: Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Operating from St Leonards‑on‑Sea, we are looking for a mechanically minded trainee to build a long‑term career in lift engineering.

What You’ll Do
Carry out routine lift maintenance
Participate in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota (1 week in 3)
Develop your skills on the job under expert guidance
Learn to diagnose faults, complete repairs and maintain lift systems
Progress towards NVQ qualifications in Lift Engineering

Ideal Candidate
Mechanical background (e.g. vehicle mechanic or similar)
Enthusiastic to learn and develop new skills
Good problem‑solving abilities
Full UK driving licence
Clean criminal record (essential for work in schools and public‑sector sites)
Qualification in engineering or trade‑related subjects preferred
