Reporting to: Angela Cousins, Headteacher and CEO
Location: Doncaster
Contract: Permanent Full Time
Working Pattern: Term Time Only. Working hours: 9am to 4.30pm, once weekly 9-7pm.
Salary: £35,000 FTE [39 weeks - £30,020 actual]
Summary
Are you an experienced and talented School Office Manager seeking a new role within a busy SEN school based in Doncaster?

Journey Education Group are currently in need of School Office Manager based in Doncaster for a busy SEMH Independent school and Alternative Provision. We are looking for someone with extensive school office experience and ideally having worked in an SEN environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
Desired
Degree or equivalent in fields such as business administration, human resources management, or information management.
Essential
Level 3 Qualified [3 A Levels or Level 3 Diploma/T-Level]
5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths
EXPERIENCE:
- Managing a busy office
- Budgeting experience
- HR experience
- Health and Safety qualification
- GDPR training
- Experience managing financial systems
- Accounting/Bookkeeping proficiency
- Experience managing and leading a team
- Knowledge of school software / Google Drive and IT systems
Background Checks: An Enhanced DBS Check is required. Candidates should either possess a current Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
References: Able to provide two recent references from previous employers.


The Role
 To co-ordinate and manage administrative team, providing high quality leadership and management
 Operate as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, working closely with the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure welfare as students is paramount
 Organisation and liaison with Parents/Carers - maintaining regular contact with parents / carers, through letters, telephone calls and meetings; providing information about any support for students’ learning offered within the provision
 To work with students, parents/carers, school staff and outside agencies to ensure the attendance of students, including welfare checks where necessary
 Ensure the referral and admissions process is managed effectively
 Attend morning staff briefings with safeguarding updates and minute RAG meetings on a weekly basis
 Compile all necessary monitoring reports for SLT and to ensure the effective transfer of data between the provision and our local schools or education providers
 Attending and contributing to Pastoral Support Plan Meetings and Team Around the Child meetings as appropriate/where necessary
 Organisation and co-ordination of multi- agency support where necessary
 Liaison with and quality assurance of external agencies e.g. transport for students
 Ensure that record keeping is maintained to the required standard and statistical data is readily available for monitoring and evaluation purposes
 Implement quality assurance procedures for internal and external audits and compliance
 Coordination of staff to successfully meet deadlines across coordinating and administrating Journey Education Independent School, Journey Education Tutoring, Legacy, HAF Camps and any other projects as applicable
 Actively promote the safety and welfare of our children and young people
 Ensure compliance with our data protection rules and procedures
 Liaise with colleagues and external contacts at all levels of seniority with confidence, tact and diplomacy
 Effective leading of the administrative team, to establish good practice in the office, offering support where required
 Support other school duties, invigilation and enrichment
 Support Journey Education Group’s ethos at all times and liaise closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support, and parents/carers, school staff and community and statutory teams and agencies, as appropriate.
