Summary
The Reception Supervisor Key Responsibilities will include:
To supervise the front desk by keeping a high profile of appearance at the desk, ensuring that receptionists are well informed about the days’ business, selling codes, VIP’s, group arrivals and any other promotions.
To ensure that a friendly and efficient service is given by reception at all times.
Ensure hotel policy, as it relates to front office, is strictly observed at check-in, during guest stay and departure.
Promote hotel outlets to guests to maximise sales.
To check the room availability by room type and to make appropriate adjustments in order to avoid overbooking, keeping control of the rooms at all times.
The Experience & Qualifications for Reception Supervisor:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
The successful candidate will be:
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments
Team worker
Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
