We are a busy and friendly veterinary practice dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to our beloved animal patients and their owners. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our front-of-house team.
The Role:
As our Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience. Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting clients and their pets warmly
Answering phones and managing appointments efficiently
Handling client inquiries and providing information about our services
Processing payments and managing billing
Maintaining accurate patient records
Managing incoming and outgoing mail and emails
Keeping the reception area tidy and organized
Assisting with general administrative tasks as required
Providing compassionate support to pet owners during difficult times
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position working four days per week, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You will also be required to work one in four Saturdays.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess:
Previous experience in a reception or customer service role, ideally within a veterinary or medical setting (but not essential)
A genuine love for animals and a compassionate nature
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in using computer systems (experience with veterinary practice management software is a bonus)
The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
A proactive and positive attitude
Reliability and punctuality
