Summary

We are looking for a motivated Tree Surgeon Technician to join our in-house Tree Surgery Team.

Reporting to the Tree Surgeon Supervisor, the postholders will be required

To hold industry recognised competencies in climbing/aerial rescue, using a chainsaw from a rope and harness, aerial pruning techniques, felling small & medium sized trees, use of a woodchipper. (NPTC / C&G / LANTRA)
Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience, preferably working as part of a team.
To undertake all aspects of tree surgery with particular emphasis on climbing and high-level tree work operations to industry standards in accordance with the needs of the particular tree species and their associated environment surgery i.e Crown reductions, crown lifts, crown thinning, pollarding, dead wooding, felling, coppicing.
To organise resources required to complete a task and able to pre-plan work with team members. Complete works within set timeframes to ensure a high-performance rate.
To undertake training and instruction as may be required by management to ensure the safe and efficient performance of the service.
Ability to use safely, maintain and direct the use of appropriate plant, equipment and machinery in a safe and competent manner i.e. chainsaws, woodchippers and associated equipment.
You will be a team player, safety conscious and quick thinking with good communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative when required. You will be physically capable and competent to climb a tree and operating a chainsaw at height. The applicant must be able to get to Chantry Park for the start of each day’s shift. A full UK driving licence is essential.
