Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Harrow, who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 with significant learning and communication needs. This full-time position is available from September 2025 and will continue for the full academic year.

Although the child is in Year 2, their current learning level is considerably below age-related expectations, and they will be working on a reduced timetable to help regulate and access the curriculum more effectively. The school are looking for a nurturing, adaptable, and proactive individual who can provide consistent 1:1 support, implement behaviour strategies, and help facilitate individual learning plans under the guidance of the SENCo.

The Role:
- Supporting a pupil 1:1 with complex SEN and a bespoke reduced school day
- Delivering small group instruction and adjusting lesson materials to the pupil's level
- Encouraging emotional regulation and managing classroom transitions
- Supporting speech, language and communication needs
- Collaborating with class teachers, outside agencies, and the child's family
- Contributing to progress monitoring and regular reporting

Who We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with ASD, communication needs, or developmental delay
- Comfortable supporting children below age-expected levels
- Strong spoken and written English
- Ability to build consistent routines and promote independence
- Psychology or education graduates encouraged to apply
