Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a professional and thoughtful Teaching Assistant to join our well-established SEND Department. The successful candidate will provide support for our SEND pupils. ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) training is essential for this role, as you will be providing targeted emotional support to pupils, alongside in-class and small-group interventions. Applicants currently completing the ELSA qualification will also be considered.
Teaching Assistants are highly valued at the school in supporting our pupils to realise their full potential.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective, clear communication with pupils and adults alike, excellent literacy and organisational skills, the ability to enthuse and motivate pupils at all levels and a drive to improve future opportunities available to our pupils. This role would suit a graduate who wishes to gain in-school experience prior to undertaking teacher training as well as those who would like to pursue a career as a Teaching Assistant.
