What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor, to provide the supervision of classes to cover for teacher absence. The post holder will be able to effectively manage student behaviour in the classroom, ensuring that the work set by the teacher is distributed to students and explained, so that students have the best chance of completing it. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with both adults and young people. An interest in sport/PE would be an advantage but is not essential.
A training and support programme will be provided for this varied and fulfilling role.
This post is an excellent opportunity for someone considering training to become a teacher. The role may also be suitable for recent graduates, qualified teachers who would like to move to a non-teaching role or those returning to work.
