SVQ 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent is essential.
Relevant experience is essential and you must demonstrate a positive and caring approach to working with older people as well as adapting to varying dietary needs.
The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent is desirable.

Working Pattern:

Mon - Thurs 07:15-15:00 & Fri 07:00-14:30 (36h)

Mon - Fri 07:45-14:15 (30h)

Weeks per year: 38 & 52

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on 30 hours over 38 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £19,913.78 per annum.

Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £28,440.19 per annum.

Requirements

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
