and creation across North Yorkshire. As Project Assistant you will primarily support delivery across the Foss (York) and Esk
(Whitby) river catchments.

About the role:

The Project Assistant will work with the North Project team to deliver practical tasks and survey field work, which will entail
travelling to remote sites. Practical tasks will be delivered with the support of contractors and volunteers and the Project
Assistant will support the coordination of both. The role will entail assisting with record keeping of interventions and surveys,
some input into the projects GIS mapping. You will also help organise and support public engagement events and activities to
raise awareness of the project's value.

About you:

Good knowledge of river and wetland habitats and species is essential. We’re looking for someone who is:

* Self-motivated and well-organised
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Physically fit and enjoys outdoor, hands-on work
* Confident engaging with landowners, volunteers, and contractors

How to apply:

To apply, please send your CV and a supporting statement that clearly outlines how your experience matches the role. Make sure to
refer to the person specification in the job description. Ideally, your CV and supporting statement should be in an editable
